Hotel Information & Getting to the Hotel
The venue of the 2nd North American Forest Mensurationists Conference is the Double Tree by Hilton in Portland (1000 NE Multnomah Street). The hotel is situated on the east side of the Willamette River, across downtown Portland. The hotel is located in a very beautiful and safe part of Portland. The Lloyd Center is one block away and Holladay Park is across the street from the hotel.
The Double Tree by Hilton hotel can be reached using the public transportation system directly from the Portland International airport. A light rail, which is called MAX, departs the airport almost every 15 min. The red line of the light rail system stops less than one block from the hotel. The name of the station where you could get off for the hotel is “Lloyd Center/NE 11th”. A map and a schedule of the MAX red line can be reached HERE. Once you get off the MAX train you should walk toward 11th avenue – which is the nearest intersection. At the intersection you should turn right and see the sign for the DoubleTree hotel. It should be a walk less than 100 meters (yards) to the front door of the hotel (below is the detailed map to reach the hotel from the MAX train station “Lloyd Center/NE 11th”).
